About the event
The outbreak of Covid-19 started in China at the end of 2019, has created an unprecedented challenge with drastic socio-economic consequences and policy measures. This calls for the discussion of appropriate (digitalized) fiscal policy measures adopted by countries in order to mitigate the shock from the Covid-19 pandemic and pave the way for a sustainable future. The international event will bring together speakers – researchers in order to identify the key challenges and opportunities for the selected EU member states and candidates as regards fiscal policy measures (and digital solutions) to support the implementation of Covid-19 emergency fiscal policy responses. The event will address the opportunities for public financial management solutions that are critical for smooth, efficient, and transparent implementation of Covid-19 emergency fiscal policy responses. Finally, the event will serve as a launch of a new ELF publication titled “Tax and fiscal policy measures in digital transformation era during Covid-19 pandemic: International experiences”.
